After trying the New Orleans Creole Cafe in Old Town I decided to try another place locally called Bud’s Lousiana Cafe. You can sit inside where they have pictures of New Orleans or an outside patio area. This restaurant is situated in the middle of a corporate office area but there is a sign on the street that helps direct you to the right place. I ended up having their seafood bisque and crawfish etouffee this day. Neither was spicy, but both had plenty of seafood. The etouffee sauce seemed very fresh and thick with a little mound of rice in the middle. Overall a very filling meal I ended up taking much of it home with me.
Date destination? I would say this is a borderline maybe date place. I think there are better areas of town to take her than a corporate office park. If she really likes New Orleans cajun I would say maybe consider it but Old Town might provide a better area to stroll around after dinner.
