Baja Betty’s, San Diego, CA

First Visit: Stopped by and asked for their daily specials.  They offered $4 mini fish tacos.  Fried fish in corn tortillas, and fresh fixings on top such as cabbage and tomatoes.  Filled me up without making me feel like I ate too much.  Definitely worth the price.  Bartenders were very friendly and attentive.  Prices here are extremely reasonable with plenty of Tex-Mex options on their menu.  Loved their thick, warm chips that came free with the meal as well.  I will be back.

Second visit: My cup of tortilla soup had big chunks of chicken and potato, with a sprinkle of cheese in the center.  Overall very good, but could have used a bit more salt, pepper and cayenne.  Their beef enchilada lunch for $6.95 was a great deal however, coming with rice, beans, one enchilada and Caesar salad.  Plenty to fill you up for lunch.  I ordered the beef enchilada with mole, which I swear I could taste some cocoa in the sauce.  Delicious.
