Stopped by The Abbey and ate at the bar. Ordered their fried pickles (of course). They were the pickle slices instead of the spears and the coating was a well seasoned flour mixture. Came with the usual ranch for dipping. Also had their spring garden salad with chicken, which was a fresh mix of greens and perfectly grilled chicken. Love the atmosphere. It is kind of a blend of old western and irish pub. The bar has beautiful marble counters. $2 mimosas on Sundays. I’ve sampled their meatloaf and fish and chips here as well. Thoroughly enjoyed the peas and mashed potatoes that come as sides. Great comfort food in a nice atmosphere.
