Came here for a late meal after karate. Had their Mendez which was essentially a beef enchilada plate. The beef enchiladas were good, they top them with a white cheese that is soft like mozzarella, not sure what kind it is. Not a strong flavor like manchego, and it came with the usual chips, rice and refried beans, nothing new there. What I don’t understand is why they leave a random slice of carrot on top of the enchiladas. They’ve been doing this for years, and it doesn’t really add to the flavor of the meal or really feel like it belongs. When I first started eating there years ago I thought it was a mistake, like a carrot just got mixed in, but no I get a random slice of carrot every time. Oh well, good atmosphere, tasty food, I always come back.
