IHOP, 12/27/2014

I can’t tell you how long it has been since I went to an IHOP, but it has probably been years. Came here with a friend pretty early in the morning and found a few booths occupied. Ordered the country breakfast with two eggs, hash browns, 4 sausage links with biscuits and gravy. I love breakfast anytime. When you mix country and breakfast magical things happen for me. Brings a smile to my face. The food was warm and came out in a hurry. The hash browns were a prefect rectangle, the biscuits were flat, not fluffy and not interesting. I like my biscuits tall, with plenty of the fluffy middle. I like all kinds of biscuits, the layered flaky kind to the doughy fluffy ones. I prefer the fluffy biscuits for biscuits and gravy and the flaky ones for just butter. I enjoyed it of course, but not a place to go if you are looking for cooked from scratch food. Satisfying nevertheless. The staff could use a happy pill.
